Here are the first exclusive photos of our first service trailer specifically developed for the SEA (Service des Essences des Armées), designed for jet fuel and used oil recovery operations from BOEING E3F AWACS aircraft (the famous radar aircraft with their dome on the roof).
With a capacity of 980 litres, its tank, entirely made of stainless steel, has been approved according to ADR by Cefea. It is equipped with a bi-directional pumping system that allows it to be used for fueling or defueling, thanks to the 3-way valve sets.
The chassis is made of hot-dip galvanised steel and coated with epoxy powder paint: it won’t rust!
The centre of gravity is low and the wheelbase is very large for stability. The front axle is directional for easy manoeuvring. It also has a height-adjustable drawbar with an automatic mechanical brake (the parking brake is activated as soon as the trailer is uncoupled).
This service trailer will soon undergo a qualification test phase at Avord air base, so that the Air Force can test it in real configuration… photos to follow!
Contracted following a call for tenders issued by DELPIA (Directorate of Inter-Army Petroleum Operations and Logistics), this military project should have a big impact…
